International Waffle Day - Tims Dairy

What you’ll need:

For the waffle:

  • 225g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 250ml water or milk
  • 50g butter (melted)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

For the topping:

  • 2 tbsp Tims Dairy Greek style natural yogurt
  • Turkey breast fillets
  • 100g flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g panko bread crumbs
  • 100g crushes cornflakes
  • spring onions (chopped)
  • chillies (chopped)
  • sriracha
  • Maple Syrup

How to do it:

For the waffle:

  1. Combine all dry ingredients and make a well in the centre
  2. Add the wet ingredients into the centre and whisk until combined
  3. Preheat your waffle maker and spray with oil
  4. Add enough of your waffle mixture to cover the bottom tray and close the lid
  5. Once the waffle starts to turn golden brown, take it out and start loading it up!

For the toppings:

  1. In three separate trays, add flour in one, the breadcrumbs in another, and three of your eggs (whisked)
  2. Place your turkey breast into the flour first making sure you coat all edges, then the egg mixture and finally the breadcrumbs being sure to press down firmly and let any excess crumbs fall off
  3. Place your turkey breast into the air fryer for 20 minutes (flip half way)
  4. While they are cooking, fry the last egg you have
  5. Start to build your waffle with a layer of yogurt, turkey, egg, chilli, spring onions sriracha and maple syrup!
