Yogurt Kadhi from Janani - Tims Dairy


  • 200g Tims Dairy Greek style Natural yogurt
  • 5 tbsp gram flour
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Handful of spinach
  • A green chilli
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Salt to taste


Mix the yogurt, salt, water, gram flour and turmeric together and whisk until it is smooth and lump free.

Heat oil or ghee in a pan and fry mustard seeds. Once they crackle, add cumin seeds, chilli and garlic and sauté for a minute.

Add fresh spinach and cook for 5 minutes.

Add this to yogurt mixture. Simmer and cook on a low heat for 6-8 minutes. Do not use high heat as the yogurt may curdle. Finish off with sugar (to balance the flavours) and serve.
