Soft-Boiled Eggs with Yogurt, Caramelised Onions and Honey - Tims Dairy

What you’ll need:

Main dish:

  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 tbsp Plain Flour
  • Vegetable Oil


How to do it:

  1. First start by slicing your onion into long juliennes
  2. Coat the onions in plain flour and then in a saucepan with your oil heated to medium to high heat, fry for a couple of minutes
  3. In the meantime, place your eggs in a saucepan covered with cold water and bring to the boil. As soon as it starts to bubble, the timer goes on for 3 minutes
  4. Once your egg timer goes off, place the eggs in an ice bath to stop the cooking process
  5. Now it’s time to plate up. Take your eggs, de-shell and cut in half. Start with Yogurt on the base of the plate, followed by your eggs, crispy onions, a drizzle of honey, chilli oil and salt to taste!
