Healthy Butter Chicken With Natural Yogurt - Tims Dairy

What you’ll need:

Marinade:

5 boneless/skinless chicken thighs, cut into cubes
200g Tims Dairy Greek style natural yogurt or kefir
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp garam masala
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ginger, freshly grated
2 cloves garlic, crushed

Curry:

2 tbsp butter
1 tin chopped tomatoes or pasata
1 tbsp honey
400g Tims Dairy Greek style natural yogurt or kefir
Salt & pepper to taste
Rice to serve

How to do it:

1) Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight, or up to 24 hours (minimum 3 hrs)

2) Heat the butter in a saucepan over high heat and take the chicken out of the marinade but do not wipe or shake off the marinade from the chicken

3) Place chicken in the pan and cook for around 3 minutes, or until the chicken is white all over

4) Remove the chicken and leave to the side for later

5) Add the chopped tomatoes or passata, 400g of our yogurt or kefir and salt to the pan and simmer on a low heat while combining for around 20 minutes

6) Add the chicken back in for another 10 minutes along with any vegetables you like and it’s ready to serve

7) We served it with white basmati rice and a big dollop of our Greek style natural yogurt to top it off
