A long night walking through some torrential rain and a great achievement with our charity Depaul UK

We started in bright and breezy fashion enjoying the exercise in crisp autumnal air but a torrential downpour just before half way soaked us to the skin and we were cold and reflective for the last 5 miles.
But that is the point, isn’t it? Not only are we raising money to help with young homelessness but we are looking to raise awareness – even among ourselves – of the reality of having nowhere to go back to, nowhere to call home and to prefer to walk the streets and sleep rough rather than go back to a violent or dysfunctional base – in the worst of weather.
So pleased and proud to have taken part. Thank you so much to Marie-Claire, Annie and everyone at Depaul UK – and everyone on our team who stepped up and stepped out.
