Our Greek Style Yogurt with Honey is one of just three Finalists in Global Awards.
Tims Dairy is thrilled to have been voted a Finalist in the Best Yogurt category of Dairy Innovation Awards 2012. The Awards were announced at a special gala dinner in Oslo, Norway, on 25th April, as a highlight of the 6th Global Dairy Congress. The Dairy Innovation Awards were kindly sponsored by Tate & Lyle.
The Awards provide the perfect platform to demonstrate the international dairy industry’s continued commitment to innovation. The finalists and winners were selected by an international panel of judges who were looking for products that added value to milk and created a point of differencedesigned to make the product stand out from the competition. They were looking for initiatives that would benefit consumers of all ages and marketing campaigns that created real impact.
The judging panel considered over 70 entries from 25 countries in 18 categories including new products and ingredients, to breakthroughs in packaging and sustainability, as well as initiatives in health education and marketing.
“These awards once again demonstrated that innovation continues to be a key driver in the dairy industry,” said FoodBev Media’s Dairy Innovation editor Geoff Platt, “and that is evident in tasty new products, new packaging ideas, use of new ingredients, great new marketing campaigns and a huge variety of nutrition and environmental projects that interact with consumers and the wider community.”
Tims Dairy is a family business owned and run by the four Timotheou brothers. The company, which has a strong Greek heritage and has been making yogurts since 1949, is based in the beautiful Chiltern Hills in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire.
The Tims Dairy retail range includes low fat, wholemilk and Greek style yogurts and there is also a large foodservice sector offering. The yogurts are made in batches using fresh British milk, natural ingredients, hand-blended fruits and live cultures. The company believes in quality without compromise.
